Privileged Accounts

Privileged accounts are user accounts with elevated permissions that allow access to critical systems, sensitive data, or administrative functions within SaaS environments. These accounts are necessary for maintaining operations but are also prime targets for cyberattacks due to their extensive capabilities. Effective management of privileged accounts includes limiting their use, enforcing multi-factor authentication, monitoring activity for anomalies, and conducting regular audits to ensure permissions align with current organizational needs. Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions provide additional safeguards to protect these accounts.
